THE AMERICAN MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY MASTER’S IN MANAGEMENT (MiM) PROGRAM

This option equips professionals and future managers with the skills and confidence needed for success. You will be ready to launch, lead, and sustain successful campaigns, projects, and teams. If you are a professional promoted from a technically skilled job or someone who hopes to move into a management role, you can benefit. In addition, if you are an experienced manager who has a need or desire to improve your knowledge on the human side of management, you will also benefit.

You can complete this 30-unit program Master’s program in as little as 10 months!

If you are a professional looking for help to fast-track yourself into a management role, this program is for you. You can also customize your course of study! You may select a four-course concentration to assist yourself in reaching your career goals. The course of study concludes with a Capstone Course in Consulting which will give you an opportunity to utilize your newly acquired knowledge and apply it to a real-world scenario.

Prior management experience is not necessary for acceptance into this program.

THE AMERICAN MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) PROGRAM

This option will help students to tackle the challenges faced in an ever-changing, technology-driven, global business environment. You will learn to think critically and apply knowledge in ways that effect change in socially and ethically responsible ways. Upon completion, you will have deepened your understanding of multiple subjects and you will be able to critically think to come up with creative solutions. Experienced managers looking to be better prepared as they move into executive roles can greatly benefit from our program.

This 36-unit program can be completed in as little as one year.

Our flexible program is YOU-Focused. We know you need to move quickly, so our program is designed to be completed in as little as one year. You may also customize your course of study. You may select a four-course concentration to better focus on your preparation for a management role in a select industry. Pick from our options such as: General Management, Marketing, International Business, Sports Management, Higher Education Administration, and Leadership. Coming in Fall of 2019, you may also select from Logistics Management, Retail Management or Change Management.

Your course of study concludes with a Capstone Course in Strategic Management which will allow you to put together a new business plan for your own company or a select company with approval from your instructor. Potential students are advised, although not mandated, to have a minimum of two years working experience prior to applying.

You may select 12 elective units, which may include any graduate-level courses not included in their core curriculum, to complete either their MiM or MBA program. However, AMU also gives you an opportunity to select from seven specialties. These specialties include Financial Management, Higher Education Administration, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, Leadership, and Marketing.
