Our Story and Our Mission

American Management University is open to all members of the International Alliance of Business Professionals in good standing. For a student to apply for enrolment in any of our courses or degree programs, they must first apply and be accepted into the IABP. 

Once the student has been accepted as a member of the IABP, they apply for any of our programs. Each of our programs has additional admission requirements.

AMU's Programs and Minimum Admission Requirements

Master of Business Administration (all concentrations):

For an applicant to be a successful candidate for admission to our MBA program, they must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be an IABP member in good standing
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Two years of experience in management 

Master of Management & Leadership:

For an applicant to be a successful candidate for admission into our MML or MSM programs, they must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be an IABP member in good standing
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in any subject 

Doctor of Business Administration or Doctor of Strategic Leadership

For an applicant to be a successful candidate for admission into our DBA or DSL programs, they must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be an IABP member in good standing
  • At least three years of mid-level management or above experience
  • Possess a master’s degree in a business-related field
  • Applicants who do not possess a business-related master’s degree, will need to take up to five foundation courses in business or possess 10 years of mid-level or above management experience.

The Admission Process for Non-Members:

  1. Contact IABP and fill out their application first. Or fill out the application above here as a student application. For IABP ID# mark “No.”
  2. Application will be forwarded to IABP for review. Upon successful review, you will be given an ID# and pay a membership fee. 
  3. Application will be forwarded to AMU admission for review. You must meet the minimum requirements to be considered for each program. 
  4. If application is complete, and admission agrees, you will be accepted into your chosen program.

The Admission Process for IABP Members

  1. Fill out the application and be sure to include your IABP membership ID when you select “Yes”.
  2. Application is sent to admission for immediate review. Members must meet the minimum requirements to be considered for each program.
  3. If application is complete, and admission agrees, you will be accepted into your chosen program.
